SketchUp render plugins are some of the most discussed topics in digital modeling. I haven't used any other rendering plug ins for SketchUp so I don't know how it compares to them but I have used other rendering engines and plugins/add-ons/add-ins in other BIM software as well as fancy rendering and animation programs and have gotten the best results for the least effort with LightUp.
