Three generations of Intel processors have so far come after the 'Core 2' family of processors/architecture.
Buy/build a PC with either a Second or Third Generation Core i5.NOTE: A First Generation Core i5 PROCESSOR is not compatible with a Second or Third Generation MOTHERBOARD (Second and Third are compatible but for the sake of simplicity, just stick to the same generation of PROCESSOR+MOTHERBOARD).The Core i5 is much much better and superior than the Core 2 Duo.
